You can search and view the firewall log for any of your APIs by following these steps:
- Select the My workspace link from the navigation menu or the task link option within the body of the homepage. This will take workspace listing page.
- Select the API name link from the API lsitings within the API section of the workspace Overview page.
- Select the Firewall logs option under the Reporting sidebar menu tab. This will show you the API firewall logs search page with search box and filter options including:
- Environment (Dev, Staging, Live) - Filters the log result shown by environment in which the request was made.
- Time range (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month) - Filters the log result shown by the period of time which the requests to be shown in the log was made.
- Type a word or phrase for the firewall log into the Search box. This search function let you to search for an API firewall log. You will have the options to apply filtering by environment or time range with pagination before or after your search.
- Select the Search button.
- Select the relevant firewall log result to view the content and detail.
You can clear your search using the Clear search link below the Search button.
Each API firewall log will show you the request information together with the WAF detection log listing. Request information can be expanded using the Show more information icon to show more details and each WAF detection log listing shows the action taken. And where a WAF Matched is made, you can expand to see the reason and further technical details to help you with debugging by selecting the Show details icon.
