Using Maintenance windows administration, you are able to manage and communicate any upcoming maintenace with users including viewing, creating, editing, or deleting and maintenance widows.

Creating a maintenance window

You can create a new maintenance window by following these steps:

  1. Select the Administration link from the top navigation menu or the Administration task feature link options within the body of the Home page. This will show you the Administration page with a 3 section grouping of administration tasks that can be performed including:
  • User data
  • Reports
  • System administration
  1. Go to the System administration section.
  2. Select the Maintenance windows option under the System administration section. This will show you the Maintenance windows page including:
  • an maintenance windows search form with a search button and a Clear search link
  • Create a new maintenance window link
  • Maintenance windows listing in date and time descending order with description, impact, recurrence, date, start time, end time, active status, and action with a edit or delete link.
  1. Select the Create a new maintenance window link located above the maintenance window listings table. This will show you the Create maintenance window page for you to create a new maintenance window.
  2. Enter details for your new maintenance window including:
  • Description - Short description of the upcoming maintenance.
  • Impact - Summarise the effect and areas of service effected my the upcoming maintenance.
  • Recurrence - Indicates how often or regularity of the upcoming maintenance.
  • Date - Date of the upcoming maintenance.
  • Start time - Expected start time of the upcoming maintenance.
  • End time - Expected end time of the upcoming maintenance.
  • Active status - Indicates if the upcoming maintenance window is active.
  1. Select the Save changes button to save and add the new abbreviation. Or the Return to maintenance windows link to cancel.

Viewing a maintenance window

You can view a maintenance window by following these steps:

  1. Select the Administration link from the top navigation menu or the Administration task feature link options within the body of the Home page. This will show you the Administration page with a 3 section grouping of administration tasks that can be performed including:
  • User data
  • Reports
  • System administration
  1. Go to the System administration section.
  2. Select the Maintenance windows option under the System administration section. This will show you the Maintenance windows page including:
  • an maintenance windows search form with a search button and a Clear search link
  • Create a new maintenance window link
  • Maintenance windows listing in date and time descending order with description, impact, recurrence, date, start time, end time, active status, and action with a edit or delete link.
  1. Locate the Maintenance window you wish to view description from the Maintenance windows listing (which may span several pages) using the pagination Previous or Next controls or by searching the listing using the search form and following the steps detailed in the Searching for a maintenance window to find the maintenance window you wish to view description or date and time window.

Searching for a maintenance window

You can search for a maintenance window by following these steps:

  1. Select the Administration link from the top navigation menu or the Administration task feature link options within the body of the Home page. This will show you the Administration page with a 3 section grouping of administration tasks that can be performed including:
  • User data
  • Reports
  • System administration
  1. Go to the System administration section.
  2. Select the Maintenance windows option under the System administration section. This will show you the Maintenance windows page including:
  • an maintenance windows search form with a search button and a Clear search link
  • Create a new maintenance window link
  • Maintenance windows listing in date and time descending order with description, impact, recurrence, date, start time, end time, active status, and action with a edit or delete link.
  1. Type a word or phrase for description or impact for the maintenance window you wish to find into the Search box within the search form. You will have the options to apply pagination before or after your search.

The relevant result is returned from any matches.

You can clear the search using the Clear search link next to the Search button.

Applying Pagination

You can change the number of results you wish returned per page using the Display results dropdown box option.

Search is not case sensitive. Applying pagination will add the pagination controls 'Next' and 'Previous' links to the page display.

Editing a maintenance window

You can edit a maintenance window by following these steps:

  1. Select the Administration link from the top navigation menu or the Administration task feature link options within the body of the Home page. This will show you the Administration page with a 3 section grouping of administration tasks that can be performed including:
  • User data
  • Reports
  • System administration
  1. Go to the System administration section.
  2. Select the Maintenance windows option under the System administration section. This will show you the Maintenance windows page including:
  • an maintenance windows search form with a search button and a Clear search link
  • Create a new maintenance window link
  • Maintenance windows listing in date and time descending order with description, impact, recurrence, date, start time, end time, active status, and action with a edit or delete link.
  1. Select the Edit link under the Actions column next to the maintenance window listing entry. This will show you the Edit maintenance window page for you to edit that maintenance window.
  2. Edit the relevant details as required including:
  • Description
  • Impact
  • Recurrence
  • Date
  • Start time
  • End time
  • Active status
  1. Select the Save changes button to save the details for the maintenance window. Or the Return to maintenance windows link to cancel.

Deleting a maintenance window

You can delete a maintenance window by following these steps:

  1. Select the Administration link from the top navigation menu or the Administration task feature link options within the body of the Home page. This will show you the Administration page with a 3 section grouping of administration tasks that can be performed including:

  • Reports
  • System administration
  1. Go to the System administration section.
  2. Select the Maintenance windows option under the System administration section. This will show you the Maintenance windows page including:

  • Create a new maintenance window link

  1. Select the Delete link under the Actions column next to the maintenance window listing entry. This will show you the Delete maintenance window page for you to delete that maintenance window.
  2. Select the Delete maintenance window button. Or the Return to maintenance windows link to cancel.
